See you're in Lawrenceville. My old stompin' grounds. If it were any other engine besides the legendary 300 I-6, i'd say yes. I would just pull the dipstick and make sure the oil isn't the consistency of syrup and fire it up. Make sure you've got fresh fuel going to it though.

Lightbulb

Remove coil wire and crank for 5 second intervals. Do this about 5 or 6 times. Replace coil wire and start.

My 300 6-cyl. sits for extended periods too! I enjoy my wifes truck.

Do what gearman said. If you have a newer model with PATS, you can just get a key cut without the PATS and the engine will crank but not fire. Then switch keys and fire it up.

It's always nice to see people who live so close on here. My dad lives here in Cumming too and he's got an 89 F150 with the Inline 6 and it still runs great. I think the longest he's gone without firing it up is about a month, but it always works.

I sometimes enjoy driving the 89 more than my 5.4 2000, just because it feels like what I think of as a truck!
