Airforce One certification

Went to smog my truck and the guy said the Air force fipk had to have a certification number. If I bought it Jan 2001, does that mean I must put on the original factory equipt. ?........ or is there a number that is registered by Airforce One to make it now legal ? Tried looking for their manufacture co. number to ask them but can't find the company's telephone nr.......... some help would be appreciated if anyone has run into this

cert #

Go to the chips forum and ask Mike T. I know it was just recently certified because I asked him. Post a message or call him for the number.

Couldn't access that site but did call Mike Troyer at the shop....course he was busy but the girl helped by saying she was going to send me an Airforce One certification sticker . I asked what the CARB code was and she said D-525 ... I then went to the smog station and asked if I could just give him the number and have him reference it to the air package and of course he said , absolutely not ........! Soooooooooooo, I told him she would send the certification sticker in the mail and I would then bring it in ............smog man says...... no way.... it must be stamped on the product.......... Think I'm gonna give up and put the factory equipment back on and bring it in

Wow, that smog stuff is serious buisness there in CA. I brought my truck in to the dealer for inspection ( I guess it's our version) and there was no problem. I'm glad you brought this question here. I think more of us will need to know the answer in the near future.

I'm guessing that guy was just being an ?@#$%^&*. (place your own nasty word here). Have you tried another SMOG place??? I would wait for the sticker, install it, and then try a different SMOG place.

Talking

Just got home from the smog station again, only a different one this time. I went up to the technician and told him that I had an aftermarket air intake system and I needed to have it done right away ..... he asked if I had the certification code, I said , of course !!! I was out of there in 25 minutes with a HUGE smile across my face ...............oh yeh, the Airforce One is the first thing that someones eyes will focus on when that hood flips up ......without a doubt the sharpest FIPK out there ...........and 17.9 extra horsies
