Talking Hey O2XLT...

At least pull your intake silencer out and drop in a K&N. Hell, I'm a bit nervous about this one myself. Wish I could make it.

Question Hmmm...

Just went back and checked the 4.2's mods...not really a fair fight, but seems like 02XLT is more "friendly" about it than Tallywacker is. MAybe I just read it wrong...easy to do on the forums. If you're both willing though, it becomes a fair fight. It'll be interested to say the least, and fun if done right. I can't wait to hear the results. I had a 4.2 4X4 XLT reg cab flare and a now a 4.6 4X4 XLT ext. cab flare with about 150lbs. of audio equip, and I know my 4.6 would walk my old 4.2 easy, but in this case, I dunno...depends on how well the chip, porting and pully does, as intake and exhaust won't necessarily do it. The 5 speed will also help out a lot, IMO...if done right. Should be fairly close. I'd think the 4.2 would bet the hole, and the 4.6 would come back, until the cut-off...then the chipped 4.2 would keep walking.

Yea..but the 1/4 mile is over before my limiter would hit so the race should officially be called off after 95mph ish??

This is just a friendly race as far as I know? Talley?

I won't be suprised if he beats me barely with all the mods listed. His torque number really impresses me. But I really think it will be a close race. He shuold get the jump and I should catch him before 90mph comes up? At least I hope.

No hard feelings either way. This will be my wife's truck in another 4 months so I am not sinking any money into it.

Thumbs up Hehehe...

You'd be saving money with the K&N...only $45, but I understand. You could at least pull the intake silencer out. Takes 30 secs., hurts nothing, and goes right back in...easily. Good luck man, and have fun / be careful.

Can't make it tonight. The fiance' has over ridden the plans. I am meeting her after works in the Woodlands then heading to my soccer game.

I hope you get this before you head out there. We will have to meet up another tmie. I hope you don't think I am chickining out, since it was all in good fun anyhow.

I will try to get free on a Friday sometime and go to the track. Aren't Friday's way crowded out there? Sunday's always work for me at the track!
