Question Radiators

I have a 1993 F-150 with the 5.8. It did not come with the towing package, therefore I have the smaller radiator. What different options were there in radiators in this model year? I want to upgrade to the larger radiator, but when I call parts stores, some list 2, 3, and 4 core. I don't even know which one mine is and I don't know which one I should get. I should mention the reason I'm doing this is the current radiator is shot and I've done many power mods and am going to a 408 stroker so a bigger one is definately in order. Thanks for any help. Keith

I cannot answer your specific question other than to suggest the 4-row (core) since for cooling -- bigger is better. Even if you do not need the added cooling afforded by multi-row units -- the added coolant by itself is cheap insurance.

Since it appears that you're going to have someone custom-build that radiator, consider having them add the internal heat-exchangers for both the transmission AND the engine oils.

Be sure that you're seated when you hear what they're going to try to charge you for that radiator!
