Hypertec Chip

I installed a hypertec chip in my truck about 8 months ago and on Christmas day, I was driving down the highway and my check engine lights comes on and truck started running like it wasn't getting any gas. I got it back to the house and shut it off and restart it with no problems, it ran just fine again. Then on Sat. morning my truck would not start at all. It would turn over just fine but again, acted like it wasn't getting any fuel so I pulled the chip off and it started just fine. Any reason why the chip would do that after 8 months of no problems?

Sounds like it loosened up. Bad connection. Try some tape to hold it in place. Are you sure tha contacts are as clean as they can be?

You're not the first!

I have a buddy that had the Jet Chip in his Jeep and the exact same thing happened to him. He just removed his chip and his Jeep runs fine. He said that he is giving up on chips and that he will never buy another Jet product again!

Look at the connector on the chip. Make sure all the contacts are properly in place.
What I know of the Jet chip is that the hardwear is of good quality, but you never know. Wittom has a point, it could have come loose.

Can you tell a difference between the superchip and stock?
