Question Pics of K&N FIPK Gen 2?

Does anyone have any pics of a K&N FIPK Gen. 2 installed. I am considering one for my truck and am curious how the barricade to the rest of the engine fits in with the coolant overflow tank. It seems like it would be pulling warm air from around the coolant tank. How much power do they actually add.

Any info would be appreciated.

I have the Generation II on my 4.6L (they are the same for both engines) and it doesn't have a barricade. Haven't had and warm air problems that I know of and I've been out on 98 degree days. I think it is the only one that comes with a CARB exemption. I like mine just fine. You will find the best price on CarPartsOnSale.com. Before you finish the deal, ask the cartoon dude for a discount. You will see what I mean when you get to the site.

Cool

He's right, K&N is only FIPK that is 50-state CARB certified. It does draw in warm air. If you want to utilize cold air, you can use the WMS air tube with stock air box, or you can do stock air tube/3" PVC fender extension. The latter costs about $5. You can also combine the WMS with the latter. K&N told me that the FIPK adds 5-7% increase in HP, and that the filter alone adds 2-4%. Mike Troyer has said that on a 99 or newer 5.4 gets about 14HP with the FIPK.
