Whistling

I have a 1995 F150 XLT with a 4.9 six cylinder engine, I have a K&N filter and a Flowmaster 40 series muffler, when I give it gas, there is a whistling sound coming from under the hood. Any ideas what it could be?

I used to have a 1996 EB Explorer. I had the same problem.

I found the noice coming from TB. When air moved across the TB and plate that caused the noise. I researched and saw other posts with that same problem.

Don't know if it will help you

whistle

Hey, I own a 1999 Ford f150 and have the same whistling noise.
It comes from the air filter allowing more air into the throttle body. The whistling noise increased after adding a throttle body spacer in my truck. Hope this information helped you!!
