Talking "ServiceEngineSoon" light blessing in disguise

I recently had a problem with the service engine soon light on my F150. My truck was about 1 yr. old and had about 14,000 miles on it when this occurred. The light came on twice. The first time they replaced the left side O2 sensor and the second time they changed both O2 sensors and the EGO assembly.

Over the year I've had the truck I have Avg. 15 mpg, with a high of 17.5 on a highway trip, and a low of 13. I have heard on this site about trucks getting much better mileage than mine but I really didn’t think about it until the price of gas went through the roof. But now the good news....Since the repair the last two tanks I've beat my high of 17.5 mpg(Highway miles) with 18.25 mpg (mostly city). That’s up 3.25 miles per gallon from my Avg. of 15..... yee Haa!!!!

Looks like Santa came early!!!!
