I don't know if I'm lucky or what, but I just saw my new engine Friday on crate, and scheduled for tues, the 20th for installation at the dealers.,.. IT's a long blk, 5.4 , all new (2000) including the manifolds, and upper end. The service mgr told me he was even shocked that this was so seamless to get replaced. So gents, I guess that all this hype about the slapping is working cause I'm getting mine after 28k of ldling headaches and tapping, Good luck to all, and if anyone has more q's Email me at Magg908@aol.com and I fill u in..

I hope belt-buckle marks on the fenders won't be the side effect.

I only wish they'd fess-up as to the cause and fix for the problem.
