MNFord99...

If the throttle body spacer you're talking about is the PowerAid, then yes, they do make one for the 99 5.4L...I had one on my 99 5.4L a couple of months ago. It felt like it might have added a little power (didn't check gas mileage). However, from what I've read, if you have an AirAid (as I do), the PowerAid emits a slight whistling noise when you step on gas. It's not obnoxiously loud, but it was enough for me to take it out. I do still have it though, so if you're interested in one, let me know...I'd be willing to part with it for a bit less than what I paid for it.

I see you live in Fridley, MN...I live in Rochester, MN and pass through the Twin Cities every other weekend or so, so if you were interested in it, we could probably meet somewhere.

Matt

MattT-
The one that I was talking about was made by a company called Helix, but not sure of the cost of it yet. I am thinking about getting the airraid, but was wondering about the throttle body spacer, seeing that everything would be tore apart then.

Yeah, we could try to make a time when it would work to get together. I know a few other guys with F150's that would probably like to get together to swap info and stories. I started a post under the General Discussion regarding this as well, as it seems that not many people look at the events and happenings.

Lightbulb Throttle Body Spacer????

I was looking thru a magazine that I got in the mail from Four Wheel Parts Wholesalers, and there was a advertisement for a Throttle body spacer. It claims to add up to 20 horse, and increase gas mileage by 6 miles per gallon. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this, or if anyone has tried this on their truck and what the results were. Just looking for a cheap way to get a few extra ponies out of the 5.4L. Any further information on this would be great. Might have to try their website and see from there what they say or if they even offer it for the 5.4L.
