$$Plug change
I looked into having dealer change the plugs in my 97 5.4 finaly at 104,000miles, overdue I know but it still runs/idles great.
First I called the dealer I bought from = $300 plus plugs $9 per. at this point I opened the hood again and re-assesed, still looking like a PITA I called another local dealer and was quoted $230 w/plugs, Tried one more dealer and was quoted $108 including standard plugs and an additional $26 for Motorcraft Platinum, My appointment is Thurs.
Shop around!!

Better make sure the shop your taking it to has done 5.4's before. If you do a search you'll find a lot of 5.4's that have had blown out plugs. You got to make sure they know what they are doing. I know I'll do my own when the time comes and I'll be extremely carefull about that.
