Post hidden feature in the odmeter

I read a thread about a hidden feature in the odmeter that does a diagnostic on the engine in the Lightning section of this message board. Do regular F-150s have these and how do you use it???????????

Yes we do... models with the digital odometer (1999 and 2000's). Yes I have used it. With the key off, press and hold the odometer button. Turn the key until the odometer/guage cluster lights up..and it will begin the self test. Release the button. The test will check the warning lights and full movement of the guages.

You can then start the truck up, press the button (not hold) until eng 0000 shows up. This will give you a digital mph readout.

Turn the truck off and it will reset to normal. It has been a while since I have used this..so anyone correct me if I am wrong!

Cool

Way Too Cool! I checked it out last night. It is a great way to recalibrate your gauges after you install the white faced gauges! Great Post.
