!!everyone Should Reply!!
Hello to all,
I would like for you to post your thoughts on HP gain and Torque gain on a (2X4) 5.4, 4.10's, K&N GII, true dual exhaust with no cats, X-pipe and running open dumps, 76mm TB, Mass Airflow, electric fans, pac chips, (code BJO2) 1"Helx ( I know I know, only gain when towing) and running on good 93 octane....I know this is a lot of crap to read, however if anyone wants to post I want to read it.....hell even 1/4 mile times with mods or without....and hope everyone has a Merry Christmas...

Flowmaster Y, K&N FIPK, cat back system, headers and chip each made a noticeable difference in my truck, in one way or another. All inclusive my driveability while towing is a LOT better than stock. I'm not into go-fast stuff... I just wanted to make towing easier and more efficient since I do tow a lot.
Headers gave me about a 1mpg measurable improvement in gas mileage but was expensive to buy and a PITA to install. I didn't notice anything on the power side of the deal either. I don't think I wasted my money but I would not put this first on the list.
The Helix/throttlebody spacer/poweraid or whatever brand spacer is a total waste of money. If anything, all it did was make a goofy sucking noise when you accelerate... Mine is now a paperweight on my desk.
MAS upgrade gave a little better throttle response but no noticeable increase in torque, fuel mileage, etc... It was probably a waste of money but at least it didn't create a stupid sucking noise...
The first mods to look at are: superchip or JET chip, K&N or Airaid or other airbox mod, flowmaster y-pipe and cat-back system...
I don't have numbers but these mods are worth while, especially if you tow. I'm currently looking into the electric fan replacement since it's looking like there's a measurable increase in mileage and power. It's also looking like that's not going to cost a lot either. Probably going to do that in the Spring...

ronhop,
I noticed about 1.5 mpg gain when I installed my electric fan, as far as HP and Torque gains, I noticed no HP gain, but less drag when towing on the highway...I like it...

fan
BruceScrew,
To tell you the truth I have had this fan for over three years, it was on my bronco.....and I dont remember how much that one was.....I think that Flex-a-lite has a web page and eveuently I want to get rid of my 18" and get 2- 14"s......but for winter it cools just fine but before the Texas summer hits I will need to upgrade, especially towing all of the time.....and if you want to look at JC Whitney .com they have some and that is where I purchased the 18"......

I've read from several of you guys that and electric fan is a good thing. Makes all the sense in the world to me. Neal sent me some info on what he's been doing as well with 2 16" fans and adjustable thermal sensor. I may very well go with his set-up when he gets it put together. He's quoting around $330 for the whole deal. I also contacted Flex-a-Lite about their offering...
Below is an email I got from Flex-a-Lite on applications for late model F150s... I asked what they had that was application specific since their WEB site had no applications for the late model F150s with either a 4.6 or 5.4 and here's their response. Read from the bottom up...
We are looking at about 6 weeks before we will have these shipping...
