Here's a supercharger kit sold by Ford SVO for the 4.6

NEW (1997-98 4.6L F-150 Truck) 6psi only

- More power, up to 30% increase over production - Internal belt drive, operates very quietly - Aerospace ceramic bearings - requires no lubrication - Bolt-on design, complete kit ready to install - No oil lines to hookup - Minimum 110 liters/hr electric fuel pump recommended Not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles.

SUPERCHARGING . . . THE EASY WAY TO MAKE MORE HORSEPOWER!

Centrifugal superchargers have been around for over fifty years. Some units on the market today have had the same technology for the past thirty years. Other newer models have been upgraded slightly - but are excessively noisy. They do the same thing - stuff more air into the combustion chamber. SVO's new supercharger kits are highly refined units offering the best overall design currently available. They are among the most efficient superchargers and offer many technical features not found in other centrigugal superchargers.

Part Number M-6066-T462 $1,999.00

Question

Gorp, I'm looking into doing a lot of the same modifications to my '97 4.6 (supercharging, headers, etc.). How happy are you with your mods? Will it hang with the 5.4's? And, after reading some letters about the different kinds of superchargers, does this unit require an oil source from the motor or is it self-contained? Thanks for the help.
