Unhappy When is turbodiesel available in F-150???

Does anyone know when we will see the 4.5L v-6 Powerstroke Turbo-Diesel in the F-150 trucks?

I have a 98' F-150 with 4.6L v-8 right now and I'd like the extra economy, same power from a diesel. If the 7.3L powerstroke were available in the F-150 chassis I'd buy one tomorrow. Personally I think the F-350 series is too big/heavy and has a real ugly front end. I prefer the aerodynamic F-150 styling.

Seems any info is hard to find. So far it looks like 2003 model year. Anyone have any Ford contacts for more information?

I think it's about time we see a diesel engine in the F-150 style trucks because Chevy has'em... not that I'd buy one.

Thanks.

2003 or 2004. Go over to http://www.blueovalnews.com]Blue Oval News[/URL] and see what they have to say there. They will let out the info before anyone else. Should be a sweet truck, but I'd rather have a Super Duty...Im used to big vehicles and they look sweet.

And Chevy does not have a diesel in a half ton truck. You would have to go up to a 2500HD or 3500HD which is the same as Ford's Superduty.

There is also

There is also information in the latest issue of Truck Trend about that "baby powerstroke" for the F150.
I have to start to decide now what I am going to do the end of June for a new truck, as my lease is done then, and starting to research the new trucks, Possibly thinking a Supercrew, but don't know for sure yet.
