No start

My truck (V10) just developed a hard to no start problem. It cranks fine and starts then immediatly dies (intermittent). You can keep you foot on the gas and keep it running and eventually it makes a sound similar to the AC clutch engaging and the runs fine. Help!!
Also, where is the MAF on the V10

MAF sensor is usually in the plastic ductwork between the air filter and the throttle body. Look for the wires going to it, but don't confuse with a possible intake air temp sensor. MAF has more wires on it. Thats where it is on the 8's, would expect same on V10.
IAC motor shunts air around the closed throttle plate when at idle. On the old trucks, the IAC took in air just ahead of the throttle plate, and sent it to just behind the throttle plate. So it mounted on the side of throttle body/upper intake, with air passage holes underneath it. The 4.6L IAC instead picks up air from a tap-off of the plastic air ductwork, but the operation and concept is the same. The passage holes on t-body or intake can be cleaned out, as can the IAC valve by removing it. There is a coating-safe type of spray cleaner out now, can use that, but don't drown the electrical part of the IAC. Hold it so cleaner doesn't work down the rod into the IAC's motor. just want to clean the passages in IAC, and its valve between chambers.
The gasket between IAC and throttle body should be reusable. Just leave it on whichever side it sticks to, and put IAC back in the same place.
