Ignition upgrade questions.

jld58 - the jacobs is a straight plug in to the factory harness, which I've heard can be hooked up and disconnected within 10 minutes, if you have to go to the dealer. I don't know how the engine will run with the difference gaps in the plugs and out the jacobs or how you can explain different wires to te deale. But you can take out the unit itself.

Sorry for the late response but I have been out of the country for a while. I gapped my plugs at .60 with the thought that in the event of a box failure on the Jacobs, I could just disconnect the power from the battery, unplug the computer from the coil packs and reconnect the original harness back to the coil packs and get home. I wasn't sure how the stock ignition would fire the plugs if they had a .70 gap but felt it would run on a .60 gap.
