Called Jacobs yesterday, 05/08/00 to inquire about pricing. Spoke w/someone named Chris whom i asked if Summitt was still a dealer. He answered yes. He then quoted me $429.00 incl shipping. I replied i wasn't quite ready to buy, but could i have part#. He said "why, are you going to call Summitt?" which made me very suspicious. i then called Summitt & spoke w a guy named ----- who then quoted me $290.69 plus handling. When i asked him why do they (Jacobs) do that. He said he didn't know,but they do it all the time on everything they sell. Also tried to get literature on DIS from Jacobs--Chris said "everything has been mailed out". Strange. WARNING to all concerned. my mods are listed under bosch plat 4 spark plugs.

 

Thanks doorslammer69. I also called Summett and the price for my 1997 4.6L (part number 335711) was $374.99 plus shipping. Since my kit is still on it's 30 day money back from Jacobs, and I paid $500, I will be contacting Jacobs...
