something needs to be replaced?
even though it's a v6, whatever part is making the noise under the hood is attached to all engines.
It's an annoying pinging and whirring noise and I can only hear it when the truck is in gear and next to a wall (amplifies the noise). And it gets louder when the heater is on.
So, what all parts (pumps and such) are running only when the truck is in gear?
