Question How much HP?

What's the HP of my '97 5.4 engine?
Can't find it listed anywhere.

Anyone know the HP on the '99 3.0 Ranger engine?

Cool

HI!... IGGY : The '97" - "98" 5.4 engines in the F-150 were not POWER IMPROVED (P.I heads). They were rated at 235H.P and 325FT/LBS of torque. Sorry I can't help you with the RANGER.

The 3.0 Ranger has 170HP, I believe.

Cool

HI!... The pushrod 4.0L v-6 only had 160H.P, so I doubt that the small 3.0 v-6 has 170H.P. I think it's somewhere between 130 - 150H.P.

The Ranger 3.0 haad almost as much horsepower as the venerable OHV 4.0 did, 150 hp for the 3.0 compared to 160 hp for that older 4.0. Torque is a lot less than the 4.0 however, I don't remember the exact number for the 3.0's torque.

That 1999 3.0 makes it's power up high, it likes to rev like a little sewing machine, and typically not much torque down low. They're nice engines, with plenty of go-fast parts available for those so inclined.

3.0L was 183 lb-ft with 150 hp
4.0L was 210 lb-ft with 160 hp
