Talking What Name Did You Give your "Old Girl"?

My '99 4.6 V8 has a husky sound to "her" exhaust so I affectionately call her "Old Girl".

The other day my wife and I were coming through the Oregon mountains behind traffic. I just idled "her" along behind this chebby silverado until we got to this little town in a valley. Right outside the town there is this "killer" hill that widens out into a two mile passing lane to the top of the hill. And it's straight as a string. It's pretty steep and it seperates the men from the boys. This chebby right in front of me punched it as soon as we hit the passing lane. I saw him pulling away and I pushed a little harder on the pedal. I pulled up a little bit on him and then all of a sudden "she" dropped down a whole gear and I could see I was going to have to pass him. He wouldn't give up the inside lane so I had to pass him on the right. It took most of the hill to pass him. Heee hee heeee!!! I said, You can do it "old girl" and "she" roared over the top of the hill about two lengths ahead of the chebby. My wife wet her pants and she said, "I'm gonna leave you if you don't get rid of this hot rod truck." Geeze! I'm sure gonna miss my wife!

What did you guys name your "Old Girl"??

Named her "Ruby", but then had a friend tell me that she thought that the name sounded like a $2.00 *****. I told her that I'd keep the name just to remind her what kind of women I like!

Despite problems stemming from a previous owner's disdain for routine maintenance, my F always gets me home, faithful dog that he is. Therefore, I chose the name "Sparky."

Cool

Gonna Switch To "HOT MOMMA"...

When you're talk'in to your rig as "she" plows through a nasty muddy hole right up to "her" hubs ... and when you get into a bit of a racing skirmish and you need "her" to really perform at "her" very best ... well, I'm gonna switch to calliing my truck "Hot Momma"!! Cause "she" always gets me through the hot spots!!

Bill

Usually it's "My Truck" since the wife has "Her Truck".

When it died on the raod two weeks ago it changed to
"Son Of A B#@ch!" and "Bas#@$d!".
