Take2 - MAF gutting and computer calibration codes
no tech, just post if it worked and not. Please just answer the following if you have tried it:
Year -
Engine size -
tranny -
computer code -
Chipped? -
Sucessful/unsucessful?-
Get the calibration code from the computer itself. passenger side kick panel. There is a plastic keeper there, just bend it back a bit and the large 4 digit code there is what we are after.
So far the replies have been to few. I know more people have tried this from past arguements on threads. If anything at least it will give some kind of database to reference.

Hey Bullittmcqueen,
I was wondering how you get a E4OD with a 4.6? It's my understanding that all 4.6 motors come with the 4R70W. The YLS2 comp. code you listed is that on the computer it self or on the door jamb? If I remember right I had the computer out one day and that (YSL2) was on the sticker on the computer but the door jamb has a different code on mine.
Matt,
Have you come to any sort of pattern with this yet? I did notice that the throttle responce was crisper after this mod, and so far no MIL. You wanted the code for calibration off the door jamb right?
Brian
