Looks to me like that engine was mfg'd in Windsor, Ontario.

Can't help you w/ the engine build date. What year is the truck??

The build date of the truck should be on a lebel on the driver side door pillar. Usually within a couple of months of the engine build date

Greeting all,

I am trying to pinpoit as close as possible the date of manufacture of my 4.2 V-6. The tag on the drivers side valve cover has this on it. I need it for a discussion with Ford. The truck was assembled in Norfolk.

Thanks, the truck was built on Jan. 31 1997. I bought it in March. I am in a discussion with Ford concerning a leaky seal and was hoping to be able to determine the Engine Mfg. date.
