Probably should have posted to "general discussion" but my original post (a long, long time ago) was here (re: problems with the 5.4L) and I've been following ever since. Finally decided to take the plunge, traded in the Ranger 4WD.

Thanks again to all who responded to my long-ago post. This is a great board, and hopefully I can be an active participant rather than an active lurker.

Congrats. I am still praying my mo will buy me one. I actually saw a truck just like the one you bought at my dealership.. I fell in love with it but my mom would never let me have it. Congrats again. Hope you enjoy it for a long time.

Why not get a lightning?

 

very funny. get my son a lightning. never would i give a car that powerful to a 16 year old kid. he would be over his head in power. he would get into trouble. all i am looking for is a good little truck for transportation. but your post was amusing. and i am sure my son will argue that you are right. your father sounds like a very noble man.
