Towing Capacity
Has anyone actually pulled a 5th wheel with their F150? We are seriously considering purchasing one just for this reason. We have heard good things and this site has been very useful for research. But, I have yet to find someone that has pulled anything with theirs. We have a 22' 5th wheel (6500Lbs empty) that we want to pull with it and want to know if anyone has had problems with power, especially pulling up hills.
It will tow it, stopping may be a problem though. If you check the rating on the f-150's door sticker your trailer, loaded would probably exceed the rating. I would go with a larger truck at least an f-250. Of course the dream truck would be an f-350 dually diesel.

Hi Shannon if your 5'ver weighs 6500# empty for sure you will be over the GCWR when its loaded. The GCWR for most of the F150's is 13000# and the GVWR of my F150 is 6300# so theoretically if my truck is maxed out I could pull 6700#. My 150 also has a payload capacity of 1850# which doesn't take long to max out when you add up pin weight, people weight, tools, gas, etc. Even the options on your truck have to be added to your payload cap. Having said all of the above I pull a 21' 5'ver but it has a GVWR of 4300# and weighs 3300# dry with a pin weight of 600# quite a bit less than yours. Maybe your weight is incorrect it seems high but then maybe you have a slide out, mine doesn't. I'd suggest having your trailer and truck weighed, if you are at the max or over your GCWR I think youb would be better off with a heavier truck. Good luck
