hey board members. i'm kinda new to the message boards but i'm not new to the F-150 world. i have a 2001 F-150 RegularCab Flareside. it has a 4.6L TritonV8 sittin inside it. i've taken it down to the Baytown strip and ran a few times down for scratch. With a stock truck a ran a 15.823@90.12mph, and also timed myself with a 0-60 time of 8.53+/-. i'm the type that needs speed!!! i just have the desire to get my little 'Jezabelle' down in the 12s and in the 6s. i've been looking around for different mods to get for my truck and have come across these possible items;
- Flowmaster 40 series exhuast
- possibly X-pipe to go with it
- not sure if i want it dual out the rear, or similar to Lightning's
- K&N Generation II Air Intake Kit
- Superchip performance chip

if any of u have any advice or other mods to share, please do. thanx for any advice.

Is that 1/4 mile time with an automatic tranny? I figured my truck was good for high 16's ???????

If you want 12s you started with the wrong truck. You will need a lightning or mod your motor to make around 400 hp. BTW how many times do you eant to go 12 seconds?
Do you want to do it naturally asperated? Blown? Nitrous?

i may get a supercharger or turbocharger later on, but now all i want is to have a little more speed. my friend has a firdbird 3.8 V6 and he always gives me hell about him beating me. he runs 14.894@103.4mph and 6.9 0-60s. he said "JP, your truck will NEVER beat my car"......i want him to pay soo bad!! i just want to get off on a good start. maybe not 12s all of a sudden but maybe after awhile.

Welcome aboard man! Those are some FAST times for your stocker. Especially for a 4.6! These trucks are VERY strong, so you'll be sure to have no problem building it up. Talk to Neal and Mike Troyer in the chips section... you'll be sure to find a good deal on a chip good for about 25-30 hp...

You sure your buddys firebird is a V6? I've never seen a V6 f-body pull 103mph throught the traps, unless it was blown or on N20. Good luck on 12's, I think its possible with lots of $$$ and a good plan.
