Post Motorcraft FL-820 , FL-820s Same Filter ?

I wanted to start using the Motorcraft
FL-820s filter - the dealer told me the FL-820 is the SAME filter. Is he correct - does the FL820 have the anti-drain valve in it as well ?

When I got my '97, the FL-820 was specified. After a while, the -820 was replaced by the -820s in stores. I don't think I could find an old -820 anywhere anymore (nor would I want to). The improved filter, the -820s, has a silicone rubber valve in it.

Granpa's right. It is the same and it's not the same. Get it? "Silly cone" anti-drain back valve = S.

FL820S is what you want. The silicone valve helps to keep the engine valves from rattling at start up...and it does a great job of doing this.
