EGR/exhaust problem affecting idle
EGR/exhaust problem affecting idle
I posted couple weeks ago a problem I was having with my idle on my 94' 5.0L that I bought a few months ago. The idle is smooth but jumps around, mainly while the engine is cold and when it is cold outside. I had some good suggestions but it is still the same.
Well, I was following a vacum line from the EGR behind the engine to the exhaust below and noticed it was not actually hooked up. Who ever put on the dual exhaust system just cut the line then spot welded it to the exhaust pipe! So the vacum line is open right next to the exhaust pipe.
There is nowhere to splice the vacum pipe with the exhaust pipe, if this was even how it was origionally. So should I just close up the vacum or leave it open?
Thanks!
