Is there a silencer in the stock intake track of a 2000 F150 4.6L? If so where is it and if I take it out will it help the air flow?

Not sure, but I think it is the same. Others will post here, I'm sure.

The place to start is the restrictor in the fenderwell. Remove it and put a small section of dryer duct in it's place. This is the biggest restriction in the system.
