4.6 What mileage life can I expect?

4.6 What mileage life can I expect?
The 4.6 in my 99, 4x2 runs smooth and great. Thanks to this forum, I in the process of buying the super chip. My question is simply, what's the most miles that have been acheived on the 4.6 and to what to you atribute the miles to. Frequent oil changes, Mobil 1, not smoking?

Hi and welcome to this great forum! This topic has been discussed many times. Try a search and see what comes up. But I can tell you that I have seen many many 4.6 engines well over the 100,000 mile mark. I can honestly say that they run very good. As you may know they are used in taxi and police use. Just keep the maintainance up!!! Hope this helps.

98,000 miles so far with no engine problems whatsoever. Just kep up on the regularly scheduled maintinence and look forward to a long lasting engine.
