Is everyone gettting their rad letters?
I got mine on Wednesday and it's already in the mail back to Ford so I can get my bigger radiator.
I tow my camper which weighs about 4000lbs and my quad in the bed of the truck. I haven't had any problems with the motor getting hot yet but I'm not taking any chances with my baby.

Got my letter Friday and it's going back to Ford on Monday with the radiator upgrade option checked because I do heavy towing and don't want any problems although to this date I haven't had any but piece of mind is worth alot.

Radiator program
Ford is executing a customer satisfaction program for trucks sold prior to 5 May 2001 with trailer/tow package (which implied HD cooling which implied a radiator upgrade) but were delivered with regular, 1.05" single core radiator. The program is fully explained in one of the other threads but basically you can get $100 cash, $500 coupon towards another Ford vehicle, or a radiator upgrade to the 1.42" radiator I believe it is.
Ford is mailing letters to affected owners, but I haven't received a letter yet for the '01 Scab Sport I bought 4/27/01. Someone on another thread reported that Ford said they'd be mailing letters through December so maybe I'll get one yet.
I have to think this "customer satisfaction" program may be the result of the effort by Jim Wright (puportedly a Harvard law school student) who was posting on the main radiator thread about taking legal action over the matter. Looks like it worked to me - Ford likely didn't spontaneously go into angst over having misrepresented the option and decide to make good on it.

I got my letter last week.
In August I traded in my 2000 F-150 for my current ride. The dealer that I had bought the 2000 from had replaced the radiator last Spring when I discovered that it had the wrong one. Before I signed the papers for the new truck(different dealer), the salesman assured me that he would get the radiator replaced with the correct 1.42 unit. From what I understand, I am on a waiting list for the correct radiator.
Ford Customer Service has told me that I don't qualify for the new radiator because I bought my new truck after May 5, 2001.
Would it be dishonest of me to cash the check for a truck with the correct radiator installed that I don't own anymore?

Got my check and cashed it the next day-
My check came last week. After reading it over closely, I cashed that sucker. My 00' 5.4 4x4 daily driver has 64K on it, pulls a 13K skid loader and trailer very occasionally and has never had an overheating problem without the larger radiator. I don't use it for long towing trips, just local jobsite stuff. We have an identical 97 150 5.4 4x4 with 165K on it, that also pulls the 13k trailer/ skidloader occasionallyand has never had an overheating problem. I have no concern about too small of radiator.
