Does anyone know where the PCV valve is on these engines?

99 2wd S/C s/b XLT 4.6 Triton auto. w/3.08 and
2000 Lariat SC 5.4 4x4
3.73 LS (for sale)

 

Factory shop manual indicates right side valve cover as location of PCV, just aft of filler tube. Hose runs from there towards back of engine to center of the intake.

Does your factory shop manual sya when it should be changed? My dealer has no idea!

Pull the PCV valve out of the valve cover. Shake it. If it rattles real easy, put it back. If it does not move freely, buy a new one.

Owner's manual indicates 60,000 miles and is supposed to be done for free for all except California and Canadian vehicles.
