Question fuel pump?

Hey everyone, here's my problem. Every once in awhile, while driving, my truck will stall as if it ran out of gas. Then it just starts up again and keeps going. Does anyone have any ideas? I've been told it could be the fuel pump or computer/electrical problem. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

I would start with the fuel filter. 89's have 3 pumps, 2 in each tank and a third hi pressure pump, although 300's may have just 2 pumps.

You might have someone check your fuel pressure checked, just to be sure if it is the pump. Otherwise, you should clean your Throttle body, and have you fuel injectors pressure cleaned. This is almost manditory on early efi's like ours.

past master is right try the easiest things first. Check fuel pump. But a very common problem on alot of fords is the fuel pump relay. It is a small square black box that unplugs from the wires. It can be located in the car usually under one of the seats or it should be under the hood mounted on on of the fenders somewhere. You should here it click when you turn on the key everytime.
