Unhappy More V10 problems

I am having what sounds like valve train noise over 2000 rpms. Nothing under acceleration, just if you get it over 2000 and just enough gas to hold it there. Really evident after acceleration and letting off gas before shift. Thought at first it was tranny but I don't think so now. Taking truck in and need ammo! Also, if anyone knows where to get a copy of the piston slap TSB, please let me know. Need more ammo! Thanks.

It has been except for the last 2 days. It sounded and met every criteria and is on the passenger side of motor. If the motor doesn't drop below a certain temp, will not the tolerances be less than a colder engine. I'm assuming that's the problem with ps since it quits after motor warms up. If it isn't ps, then I must have another problem. Not sure yet if that's good news or not! Thanks.

Thumbs up

I think I may have some GOOD NEWS for you...

If your engine does not make noise when starting after sitting over-night, you do NOT have Piston Slap problems.

There is a difference between "cold" and "frozen". Piston Slap noise will be heard when starting after sitting over-night in a warm climate. You don't need to go to Utah
in the winter to detect this problem.
