I am also interested in resetting my computer if possible i just bought a 97 f150 2wd 5.4l supercab and i installed a k&n filtercharger on it but i still get 13 mpg. what can i do ford says it should get 18 mpg iwould be happy with 16 or 17 help please ???

If you are asking about resetting the computer..all you have to do is disconnect the negative battery cable, turn your headlights on for 10+ minutes..then reconnect the cable. The headlight thing has been posted my several members and something I have yet to try myself.

Now about getting better gas mileage...that 5.4L will average right at or below 14.0 MPG if you drive anything other than highway. Stop and go driving really impacts your overall MPG, not to mention a heavy foot. My 98 5.4L was the same...right around 14.0 mpg with mixed driving.
