Got any trouble free 4.2L stories???
I have about 26,000 on my '98. Other than some really low gas mileage figures for the first 10,000 miles, I've had nary a problem.
I pulled a 3500 lb trailer with about a 600lb payload from Texas to New Jersey without any problems.
During Hurricane Brett....I completely overloaded the bed carrying 4 people and all of their prized possesions (I estimate at least 1700lbs of cargo in addtion to people weight) and drove 8 hours at a top speed of 15mph. Many other vehicles overheated along the way....but not Baby Huey....he just plodded along with his rear bumper scraping the ground.
Huey's been a great truck - period!

"Baby Huey" (Big Round and Loves to Eat gas) aka '98 F150, Auto, 3.08 axle, Blaupunkt, SuperChipped, K&N Air Filter. Newly overhauled interior, now with power windows, power door locks, remote entry/alarm, LeBroc 40/20/40 power seat in leather upholstry. All installed by the Doc. (A poor man's Lariat!)
