Larger oil filter wanted
I would like to use a larger oil filter on the 5.4. Does anyone know of a replacement that is physically larger than stock filter?
I do not want to install a dual system. Thanks.

Our filter is metric. Therefore there are no other larger filters that would fit it.
If you want a larger filter you will need to get a remote kit. These have an adapter that hooks up to your filter area then you can mount the filter away from the engine. I believe most of those can take the old ford FL1 or the fram PH8 or equivalent.
That should get you about twice as much filtering capacity as you have now.
BTW, I don't understand why ford uses such a small filter on our trucks that hold 6 quarts. Really doesn't make much sense.
