Engine placement
Does anyone know why Ford put the engine in such an hard to service position in the F150? I could probably change the plugs in my Chevy in half an hour but the Ford, forget it.

Unlike Chevys, the Ford engin does NOT require frequent plug changes... LOL
Placing the engine in the "front" left plenty of cargo room in the "rear" (unlike the Boxer 512 or other vehicles of that ilk

Changin' plugs on this baby's a breeze! Well, compared to doing the rear bank on my old SHO (most people disassemble the intake to do it). It's not real easy on the triton, but it's not that bad. I've had one of the rear plugs out on mine.

Basically, so they could give the new body the swoopy, zoomy lines that the stylists wanted. Long hoods are functional, but they're not in fashion. Trucks aren't tools anymore they're multi-use personal transportation or some such.
