To those who use Gtechs...Question...
I recently picked up a Gtech pro and am afraid I might have gotten a bum unit. It seems to stop taking it's reading 3-4 mph before the 60mph mark. Talked to the Gtech people and they say it appears that way because of lag in the speedometer.
I was just wondering if those who have used a Gtech before noticed where your speedo was actually at when the 0-60 reading stopped. Thanks for any info...

HI!... I have a G-TECH PRO also. They are a fun little peice of tech!LOL!. I have a ton of freinds that have them and they are not very consistant between each other. A freind of mine ran 3 in his truck all at the same time at the dragstrip. My G-TECH was only off the strip's time by about 2 one thousanths. The other one was off by a full second and the 3rd was off by 2 seconds!!!!!! I guess I got a good one!LOL! Mine has always been dead nuts on at the dragstrip. Don't worry about it the factory speedo's are off a bit. The tachs are WAY off. By the way, what did you get for a 0- 60mph time?. I've got 5.8 seconds at the strip with slicks and 6.3 with my street tires.
Thanks for the reply Neal, I think I've got one of the inaccurate ones. I've got 31.5" tires on my truck right now and in checking my speedo via the stopwatch and mile marker method on the Interstate 60mph seems to be right around 57 on my speedo. The gtech stops timing around 53 or 54, which roughly equates to 56-57 mph. But needless to say with the 31.5" AT tires and 3.55 gears my times are less than great. Gtech shows ~8.3, but reality should be closer to 9. Gtech in my Durango shows ~7.1 when it should be a little over 8.
I would like to trade up to a reg cab 5.4, but can't quite pull that off right now so I'm left with slowly starting to mod the 4.6. Gears and LS first, then chip, and so on down the endless list. More suitable tires and a supercharger in my dreams further down the road...Flats Man's times have given me some hope for the 4.6/auto...

i've noticed a difference of about 1.5-2 mph difference between my speedo and the ones cops set up around town.has anybody else noticed that if you accelerate really hard it makes those thing go crazy?
