00 crown vic work in 05 f150?

00 crown vic work in 05 f150?

I have a 05 f150 with a blown motor and wanted to know of the longblock from a 00 vic would work? Thanks

Your 05 is a PI (performance improved) engine. The 00 is not. You cannot use your manifolds on the 00 engine, the ports are different. You will need a set of manifolds for a 00 or earlier F150 or Expedition, and reuse your throttle body. I don't know if the accessory mountings are compatible. I'd look for a 04-06 4.6 out of a F150, that's a direct swap.

Thanks for the advice. It's an 04 f150 not an 05, i had aready bought it seeing the longblock identical , but I see the intake ports are different
