Folks,

My F150 has 166,000 miles on it and I think it's getting close to needing a new engine. Can anyone recommend a place to buy a rebuilt engine or places to avoid. I need a 4.9L.

You could always buy a crate engine from Ford or most cities have places that do engine rebuilds as a specialty.

If it were me I would look at two options. 1) A new factory engine, not a reman 2) A Jasper Engines remanufactured engine Jasper remans are the best.
