Post HELP?-fuel pump died.......

Well guys I guess finally my supercharger killed my stock fuel pump. I have tried everywhere but I can't find where I can get an aftermarket unit, maybe besides the supercharger company. They will probably charge an arm and a leg. I was wondering if anyone one knows where else I can try to find one. Any help would be very appreciated.

Don't know where you can get an aftermarket pump, but are you sure the pump is getting power? Make sure the fuel pump cut off didn't trip.

Just curious. How does a supercharger kill the fuel pump? A friend has an sc on his truck, so I'd like to pass on any info you have.

Thanks.

I did check the fuel cutoff switch, fuse, and the fuel pump relay. I plan on checking the connection at the actual fuel pump tomorrow. I know it happen out of the blue. What's got me thinking though, is that I put on the transgo shift kit that day. My truck ran fine the entire day and night. After a few hours of driving I ran her pretty hard. Racing just about anything that wanted too. I even let my truck sit at a friends house that nite for a few hours and it cranked right up. Then after that I parked it at my house and the next day I was going to take a friend for a ride to let him see how the shift kit works. But all the engine did is turn over but not start. I even opened the gas cap while my friend turned the ignition on which you are suppose to hear the fuel pump engage for a few seconds but I never did. I just don't know for sure, I doubt it is the wiring because I didn't hit anything or cut anything while driving or putting the shift kit on. I wouldn't see how the trans would keep it from cranking. What do you all think?

jackhel,

try removing the superchip and see if the truck will start. If it does your chip slipped on its contacts and needs to be taped back in place.

If it does end up being the fuel pump, try a salvage yard for wreaked F150's. You should be able to find one much cheaper than new.

Alright, this is a little off the subject but how did you like the shift kit while it drove JACKHEL? I've never really liked the shifting on mine but contemplating what to do. Thanx
