IAC Help!!

Well guys, I know that this has been brought up before in previous posts.. But there is one question I have.. I just got my new tranny in and up and running, but now the daymn thing wont stay idling. I crank it up and it dies unless i keep my foot in the throttle.. I have read the posts and they suggest that it is either the IAC or my fuel pump.. Well went to the local parts store to price them.. The IAC was around $76 and the fuel pump is about $230.. So I am going to do this.. First, I need help locating the IAC.. If anyone can tell me exaclty where it is located and maybe a pic, that would be awesome and greatly appreciated.. I figure the best thing to to is to clean the current one, if that doesnt work replace it since it is the cheaper of the two, then the fuel pump if i still have problems... If anyone has any ideas feel free to let me know.. Thanks for any advice..

I just put one on today and I have the scarred, burned hands to prove it. Let the motor cool if you have the time (I didn't). It' s directly below the passenger side wiper motor. It has a plug on the back side. You can whack it with a hammer, wrench, etc. and it will work for a while but you are definitely going to have to replace it. The dealer was the only place around that sold them for my 99 5.4 and he wanted $83 for it. I balked at that and told him that I had heard it was a $60 part. He said "Let me check something" and came back with a price of $61.90.
Expect at least an hour of your time and an expansion of your cuss word vocabulary.
