Thumbs up MAC intake installed!

I installed my MAC intake this past weekend and am pleased by both the appearance and performance of the kit! The MAC is identical to the Air Force One besides the open end on the filter and the $100 difference in price! The kit is new and got it for only $139 and the service was excellent too (I got free shipping since the tubes were backordered for one week)! The intake complimented my exhaust nicely, I really felt a difference after taking it for a drive. They have dynoed the kit showing an increase of 12.8 HP and 14.4 torque on the 4.6L and the price can't be beat!

Good looking intake. Where did you buy it?

wow, something so simple I Dont think that even Mac can mess it up!

They have poor quality control on their products, so double and tripple check the length and plating on the products before installing.

FYI, their CS bytes! If everything works, I am sure it is fine. If it does not fit, they always come back with "well your car/truck must have been in an accident and that is why it does not fit".

They do have good prices, just watch the quality control.

I bought the kit directly from MAC, their number is 1-800-367-4486. I first saw this kit on Partshopper.com but there was no pic, so I contacted MAC and they sent me a catalog and they had the kit priced less than Partshopper was selling it for. This was my first time dealing with MAC and they did a good job IMO. The quality of the kit was pretty good too. No scratches or chips on the chrome tube, no missing parts, everything fit together nicely (except for hose clamp that mounts the tube onto the throttle boby was a tad to small, so I bought a bigger one for $1 at Home Depot). I haven't seen any of the other fipk's in person so I can't compare the quality of the MAC to them, but I would think there wouldn't be too much of a difference.

Question

Is it 50-state CARB certified to run in California?

max mitchell, I do not know for sure, but I'm assuming its not (yet anyways) since it is new. I am going to call them and ask though, since I live in Cali and it would one less thing to worry about!

crazedf1, ask far as I know and whats in their catalog they don't. But it worth a try calling them to see if they are planning on making one.
