Miss fire

Miss fire. My 2010 5.4 misfires under load sometimes it sounds like a trumpet!! I do get a cel but it dishes while this is happening it is running on what feels like 4 cylinders! It will go away if I let it coast along! I'm very mechanically inclined but I'm stumped on this! I used my code reader and it comes up with cats being bad? I've seen in here about new plugs and"cops" but I'm at a loss what"cops" are!

COP = Coil on Plug.

Get a code reader, read the codes and post them here. Folks can likely give you more help.

I have a code reader it's saying cat converters? The cel comes in and flashes if I push it to hard then it loses all power and takes a min to gain power Again. There's 169000 on truck I've had it a year was told they were fine 50000 miles ago. Thanks for the cop definition!
