Noticed a small leak yesterday. Looked and saw this wet. Today there’s a good size puddle. Don’t want to drive it anymore till I fix it. Weeps pretty well when running. Slow drip when it’s off. 2016 5.0 Lariat Crewcab. Looked online, can’t find anything that looks like this. Is it transmission cooler or oil cooler? Looks like this pipe might have popped out just enough?

then that’s not what I have. The oil filter screws onto that. What is the thing in my photos then?

It uses coolant to heat the trans fluid and help the transmission get up to temperature faster.
It can bypass and send fluid to the external cooler for extra cooling as needed
