Is there any way around the EPA guidelines to get a smooth idle back?

I also want to say that this site is a valuable tool for any Ford 150 enthusiast! The input from everyone is incredible.

I took my truck in today for rough idle, gas pedal sticking in cold weather and belt noise on start up when it is cold out. Anyone else with a 2000 having these problems.

1stFord....These engines (97-00)are notorious for that darn squeeling when tyou start them up...Let me guess, after a minute of so it goes away. Replacing the belt will be their solution but it will be back in a few thousand miles. It costs me 60 big ones to replace my belt last month.... I guess we have to get use to it...
