I have a question guys I have a 98 Ford F150 NASCAR edition single cab truck a few months ago in Houston we had a bad freeze then my Truck Would not want to crank over I was told the motor was blown because of the coffee looking color on the oil cap I’ve been told that before just trying to get some advice thank you in advance I was told it may be a head gasket it’s like it want to crank but it doesn’t ! Should I try draining the oil and see what it does after that I did it once before three months prior and it cranked on and I was told that it was a blown motor at that time as well so it’s just tough to believe anybody I’m sure I’ll get the right answers here or close to it thank you in advance

 

Remove the spark plugs and see if it will turn with a wrench. It may have been hydrolocked and the starter could have caused some rods to bend/break.

 

The coffee colored oil cap means there is water getting in the oil. On my '98 4.2L 150 it was fairly common for the intake gasket to go bad. So either the intake or head gasket has a leak. My dip stick oil color never changed up until it hydro locked, but I did have the cream colored oil cap. I put on around 350 miles a week with 90% of it freeway.
Like @Roadie mentioned pull ALL the plugs and see if you can turn it. I was able to use the starter and a fountain of water came out of mine. I just replaced the intake gasket on mine a few years ago and it's been fine.
Up here in the PNW it tends to be condensation if you don't drive it enough to burn it off.
My wife's 4.0L '98 explorer had a light coffee/cream colored condensation on the oil cap but the oil was fine, she just doesn't put very many miles on to burn the moisture out. Once she goes on an hour or more trip it goes away. She only drives 80+- miles a week. Been doing it for 20+ yrs.
