5.4l stalls while in reverse?

Today, while backing out of the driveway, I backed up already about 5-10 feet, and it suddenly stalled for no apparent reason!

I started it back up and I was on my way.

What happened? The motor is being goofy, it has high idle, it blue smokes, and now it stalls.

What the heck is up?

goofy motor

Sensor breaking down? My old Ranger did that and it was a sensor going bad. Can not remember what sensor it was. The check engine light came on after about 4 or 5 days of doing that.

The transmission filter is either cloged or has become loose. More than likely the later. Very common problem with the mod engined F150's.

Take care

The truck is brand new, not even modded.

4000 miles. The transmission has had problems, where it would slip down 2 gears and then stall. Whats going on?
