Need help 5.4L 3v removal

Hi new group member here. I have a 2006 with a 5.4 3v that either the motor is locked up or the TC is locked and the flywheel refuses to turn so I can not unhook those nuts to get the engine the rest of the way out can anyone point me in the right direction????

you can remove the motor with the torque converter still installed you just risk damaging the transmission

I feel like I am missing something. The bell housing is unhooked both drive shafts motor lifts on the hoist.... just won’t break free. It does have the automatic I was told by the head mechanic the TC would just eventually start to slide with it.

Yes it often time damages the input shaft/input shaft seal and the torque converter when you do it but as long as you have all the bolts it should come right out you need to make sure you haven’t missed any of the bell housing bolts
